“RELAXING BATHSALTS”
I've known Keita Ishiguro for about a quarter of a century, ever since my days as a staff member at Spectator magazine.
Most of the rumors surrounding Ildozer that circulate as urban legends are, in fact, true—and through working with him, I experienced firsthand his relentless pursuit of making things better, right up to (or perhaps slightly past?) the edge.
As usual, deadlines came and went over multiple nights, and every team involved was stretched to their limit. Just when things were about to break, he sent over this artwork—with a note saying, “Is this not going to work?”—and it turned out to be so stunning, it left us speechless.
The unsettling atmosphere surrounding the face drawn with bath salts is unforgettable. As a creative response to the 24SS theme "BACK TO LIFE," it’s absolutely perfect.
Whether true or not, the piece is said to carry the message: “In this tough world, drop in some bath salts and take your time in the tub.”
