“Ambient Reflections” Born in 1983, this photographer is based in Kagoshima Prefecture. Through meticulous fieldwork, they document a wide range of subjects using a film camera—gently rippling seas, mountain landscapes glistening with pre-dawn dew, wild animals, and forgotten architecture. Their works, captured with a deep and discerning eye, are meticulously framed to preserve the light that once existed there, revealing the essence of each subject. In 2021, they were awarded the Japan Photo Award.
